Which One Fits?
Most watts on either fuel: the DuroMax XP13000EH. Built-in CO shutoff: the Champion 201302 (CO Shield); Champion says it's not a substitute for a CO alarm. Remote-start key fob: the Westinghouse WGen9500DF. California: DuroMax lists the XP13000EH as not CARB certified. Size any of them with our generator wattage calculator, and connect with a transfer switch and a matching generator cord.
Common Questions
Why are propane watts lower?
All three makers list lower output on propane than gasoline; the table shows each one's figures.
Can these power a whole house?
They can run selected circuits through a transfer switch or interlock, up to their rated running watts. Add up what you need with the calculator before choosing.
Bottom Line
The DuroMax XP13000EH for the most output, the Champion 201302 for CO Shield, and the Westinghouse WGen9500DF for remote start - all with the outlets a home connection needs. See our dual fuel generator guide and propane generator guide for smaller models.
